I am going to explore Cape Town South Africa and I would love some friendly people to lead me in the right directions

ABOUT ME

I am always interested to hear and share in the stories of others. As a California girl I am used to exploring beautiful and interesting places while coming into great interactions with people. In the last few years I have taken my explorations outside of California, to other wonderful places in the U.S. (New York, Hawaii, Iowa, and Tennessee). In January '07, my love for adventure and people has taken me to the beautiful world of South Africa. I have dedicated this year to working with Thrive Africa, a missions organization that aims to raise indigenous leaders in their communities, while tackling the AIDS pandemic through education.

I have yet to be an official CouchSurfer, but I have always enjoyed the generosity of friends and acquaintances while traveling.

Music, Movies, and Books

There are way too many good movies to list here but I'll always love anything Hitchcock, Tim Burton or Baz Luhrmann!
Music ~ I just don't know what I'd do without the lyrical genius of Bob Dylan, but I like it all from vintage rock, reggae, emo, folk and scream-O.
Reading is a passion I wish I made more time for. Some of my favorite books include The Bible *Life after God -by Douglas Coupland *Blue Like Jazz -Donald Miller *Oh The Places You'll Go - Dr. Seuss
