ABOUT ME

I'm an artist, chocolatier and gluten-free vegetarian. I'm quite experienced in the preparation and consumption of chocolate. Though I was born in the U.S., I've been an expatriate most my adult life and have lived in Panajachel, Guatemala, since 1980.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm not able to host surfers these days, but am usually open to meet for coffee and talk about our town, Guatemala, and give advice in general. I've hosted and met with people and shared my little house in Panajachel for many years and have found CS to be an excellent platform to meet and make many lifetime friends. I'm sometimes able to host long term guests through Workaway.

My personal interests are beaches, traveling, inventing new things and sailing. I love anything to do with art, museums and chocolate as well.

I invented commercial FIMO bead manufacturing techniques and had the first FIMO bead factory in the world, whose profits helped start Ak'Tenamit, an organization in eastern Guatemala supporting local indigenous folks with medical clinics, dental, and education programs. Check out www.aktenamit.org
