HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i was introduced to couch surfing by a friend in Freiburg who explained how she hosted a Canadian from Toronto. I was intrigued by the concept as I greatly enjoy showing people around Toronto and hosting people. Toronto is a big city, and much of it is ugly and uninteresting; however, there does exist a large, vibrant, and exciting community that must be seen by all who come to toronto. it is my duty to make sure everyone sees this part of toronto!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

amazing things i've done/seen? one night in helsinki i ran home at 4am from a disco as it was pouring rain and very cold... i couldn't find my flat, and in an attempt to get a bearing on my direction, i stopped to ask this guy standing in a corner drinking a beer for some directions. after about 10 minutes of this guy rambling and trying to convince me to come back to his boat, i see this large, long-legged rabbit galloping down this narrow cobblestone street. standing in awe, i turn to this guy and ask him to confirm what i just saw, and he easily shrugs it off and says "yeah that's a rabbit" as if this is normal. at this moment i do not know what to think, but i agree that between this guy & the rabbit, things were getting a bit out of hand, so i decide to take off in a random direction. as i start to run again, i see the rabbit running towards me. so here i am, in the middle of downtown helsinki, in a dark laneway, in a downpour of cold rain, at 4 o'clock in the morning, and i am running beside a rabbit. i still don't know what to think of it, but one thing is for sure, it was pretty amazing.
