COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My husband is more spontaneous than I am. He enjoys jumping in the car or booking a flight to go go go.... He never meets a stranger and enjoys getting to know people everywhere. I prefer at least a little bit of planning ahead, but also cherish connecting with new and old friends.

Interests

animals (domestic and wild--we're vegetarians), animal rescue, politics (particularly peace and justice issues), art, gardening, photography, cultural exchanges, friends, family...

Music, Movies, and Books

I long for time to read!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We lived in Australia for a year. We traveled around the county as much as we could while there, and a highlight of both of our lives was scuba diving on the Great Barrier Reef.

Ongoing international work through Communities Healing througn Art (CHART www.chartaid.org) and Sangha (www.sanghaworld.org) in India and Thailand has also be remarkably rewarding.

Teach, Learn, Share

I direct the art therapy program at Emporia State University and am passionate about the global application of therapeutic art intervention within a global context. My husband is an attorney who is wise and kind. He's interested in starting on-line learning for developing nations as a means to improve lives.
