ABOUT ME

I lived many years in the south of New Zealand. Grew up in Queenstown ,lived near the mountains for many years . Now reside in the Wairarapa in a small country town close to our capital city Wellington. I am keen on the outdoors , I have had long interest in Mountaineering and snow skiing I am a keen diver skin and scuba and love to sail. My early teaching years I worked as an Outdoors Education specialist,now Art teaching for many years. I have been an artist most of my life with times of intense focus and other times
Travelling out of New Zealand has happened in the last 8 years with International Sculpture Symposia and other International Art events.visitiin, carving stone in Sicily Montedoro, Bronze-Changchun China,BIAB-Beijing China, Steel in Kicevo Macedonia.December I will carve on the ICEHOTEL in Sweden in december 2007
I have met many Artists from a number of parts of the world. I have valued the meeting of people and seeing how other people live as facinating. I have had weeks in july in Kicevo Macedonia on an International Art Colony met many new people and shared ideas and experiences.I look forward to meeting new people and exploring this world.

PHILOSOPHY

Maintaining good health and being a life learner is
fundermental to a facinating personal journey.
Helping people is hugely rewarding.When I grow up I am going to be very old.

I have recently signed up to CS & hope to meet more travellers here in New Zealand sharing experieces & cultures.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have just spent time travelling in Sweden and had my first couch surfing experience.Meeting and sharing was most interesting and enjoyable.I have hosted surfers in Greytown and have enjoyed the various contacts with new people.

I like the whole spectrum in the storytelling of movies.I like to view movies as artworks.Music a time and place for all sound and styles .I like dancing to live music.In my travels I have enjoyed various types of ethnic music. I love art books technical books when I need information etc

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Built a large bronze sculpture in the Changchun International sculpture Park in China 360 international Sculptures 90 Hectares been immersed in contemporary Chinese sculpture,tried every sort of traditional Food
Eaten Budah blessed moon cakes and drunk alchol with a kind chinese man and his wife invited off the street as a chance happening,Walked some of the Great wall etc
Climbed highest mountains in NZ watched the sun rise.
Walked knee deep in artifact in Macedonia-
Argrigento- China
