ABOUT ME

I live in Chico. Most people haven't heard of it -it's a small party/college town (party defintely comes before college) out in the middle of nowhere. What's great about Chico is that we have Bidwell Park, which is a HUGE place with swimming, rafting, cliffs to jump off of, places to rock climb, TONS of hiking, mountain biking, etc. It's also excellent for stargazing. I like to go there with a few friends and just walk around and explore different trails all day.

Chico is surrounded by farmland. I live in an apartment complex stuffed with college students, but I can walk for 2 minutes and reach some sweet deserted trails (where I go running!) That's what makes Chico awesome - the combo of crowdedness and desertedness.

I'm a Journalism major. I like music, reading, writing, hanging out, a good party, working out, camping, hiking, rock climbing, skiing, all other exciting sports, trying exciting new things, pushing myself, testing my limits, experiencing as many emotions as humanly possible, writing amazing stories/mag articles/blogs/poems, roller coasters, meeting unique people, etc. I like so much stuff I could list pages and pages of it, and I'm always down to try something new.

Speaking of trying new things, I've recently gotten into the rave scene. Fun stuff!!!

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm reading a GREAT book right now called "Don't tell Mom I work on the rigs" by Paul Carter. I usually read nonfiction, though. And I read a ton of magazines, since I want to write for them eventually.

Movies - Anchorman, American Beauty, The Breakfast Club, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Better than Chocolate, The Secretary, The Butterfly Effect, Forrest Gump, Sweet November, Eurotrip, Rock Star, The Stepford Wives, Closer, Notes on a Scandal, Spy Game, Pirates of the Caribbean, Dazed and Confused, Saved!

Music: a lot of punk, emo, alt, tons of rock, some indie, electronic - especially TRANCE, a little bit of pop, and rap only if I’m in the mood for it.

All of that is relative if it's live music, though - I LOVE anything live.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I repelled down this huge chamber in a cave once. It was about a 250 ft rappel, and the cave was covered in stalactites and stalagmites - beautiful!
