ABOUT ME

I love adventure, fun, travel, and play. I am rejuvenated by the outdoors and making art.
I am an extroverted introvert. I am a bit a.d.d. which means I'm constantly scanning my environment for new data, and I see a lot, which feeds my art.
I am a loving father of two adult kids, transitioning to being an empty nester soon.
I am in a committed relationship. It will be 10 years in October 2016.

PHILOSOPHY
All is well. When I relax, move slowly, breathe, and stay calm, my life works.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I would rather stay with local people when I travel than in a hotel, and I've made some great friends couchsurfing. I love how the organization brings people together and breaks down barriers.

兴趣

Art, music, especially acoustic based and folk, reading. The outdoors. exploring and learning. laughing and having fun. Being physically active and healthy! I am a golf fanatic, I play multiple times per week.

Books- Fantasy as in Tolkien or Game of Thrones, also solid historical fiction. I love Rick Bragg, or things like Angela's Ashes.

Movies- mostly goofy comedy or indie films that are thoughtful. Some docs too.

Music- Primarily acoustic based folk/ alt country/ blues.
Faves- Tom Waits, Townes, The Handsome Family, Lucinda, Gillian, Emmylou, Mark Knopfler.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Both of my kids were born at home, I caught them both. I can't really top that. On my second one, the midwives were late, so I caught my son and also suctioned his mouth and throat because he was gagging as he tried to breathe.

So being a parent, from day one.
