Sobre mí
ABOUT ME
I have never lived in one place for very long, born into a gypsy family and it kinda stuck. I lived in Mexico as a young teen, and in the Philippines during High School so I am culturally mixed, which i love.
I wanted to be an MD when I saw how much suffering people in developing countries go through, I was super intense about it, always working or studying with that goal in mind. However, when I finally immersed myself in the medical world, I found I was constantly pushing the boundaries. Two things changed my mind about my career goals: yoga and volunteering at a hospital in Tanzania. I realized that health is about something altogether separate from medicine, and that politics is the biggest barrier. I am still finding my way, but have learned a ton about the union of the spiritual and the physical in all maters related to life, and the endless connections between people, animals, plants, and all that we call nature. So, I'm pursuing the study of yoga whenever life allows, and trying to enjoy life in the process. I love traveling and meeting people. I have slept on a sandy side yard of a bamboo hut in Mexico, and on many couches of welcoming homes throughout the US. I am flexible, love to hear about peoples' experiences, and absolutely adore music.
Intereses
I spend a lot of time reading, mostly because I for some reason stopped playing the guitar and didn't know what to do with my spare time. I love reading courageous literature and having my mind and heart blown.
I also love being active, used to play sports avidly, like to dance if I drink enough to forget the crowd, like putting my hands in soil for just about any purpose. I hope to eventually make it to a place where I can farm in a permaculture setting, be with people who respect each other enough to not need rules, and love to see love spread to everyone without judgement.

Algo increíble que he hecho
I am queer and came out at the age of 30, so one of the first summers after that, my girlfriend took me to chicago pride parade and then the naked bike ride. It was liberating to be proud of my sexuality, my body, and my freedom, all at the same time, and beautiful to be surrounded by people who were also celebrating freedom.
I participated in Ramaddan during my stay in Morocco, visiting with a family who lived there. We broke the fast with different households every night. It was awesome to be in that community of comradery and lovely to experience the joy of celebrating with strangers who felt like family even through a language barrier.
I slept in a school bus at an anarchist collective with my then girlfriend in Frisco, right next to an old dog. Woke up and made breakfast in the communal kitchen, showered in a makeshift shower, and then was enlightened by the wisdom of a 70 year old hippie who had more energy than I did.
