So, I am moving to Victoria to pursue my art. I've lived there before twice and I miss it very much.

Right now, I'm living in my van so I'm just looking for the occasional couch to crash on, or outlet to plug into it driveway to park in.

I plan on it being like this for about a month, until I get my own place. But for more, I think this would be an awesome way to meet people!

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

We had about 18 people stay with us in one month a couple of years ago in Vancouver. We had a super small one bedroom and I think at one time we had 5 surfers staying with us. We had a blast!
We still keep in contact with two of the surfers that ended up staying with us for 2 weeks lol. We've actually been invited to their wedding in France this summer, soooo pumped about that!
We did have one bad experience though. These two really awesome people from New Zealand came, and both times (because of work) they ended up waiting in front of our place for like 3 hours :(. We felt awful.
Other than that, nothing but great things!
Two of the people that stayed with us in Vancouver (we became super tight with them) invited us out to their wedding in France!
After the wedding we went up to Lyon and stayed with a lovely woman named Wilma. She let us use her bikes, we went to the movies and we stayed up late drinking wine and talking a lot!
Oh! Before we left, we stayed at a couples place in Calgary, it was also awesome as hell!
Couchsurfing allows people to meet new people of like minds and it brings together an amazing community of people.

I (Mathew) Went to Europe for 5 weeks and it was the most amazing 5 weeks of my life. We started to whole trip at Roskilde music fest in Denmark, holy shit was that ever insane. Best 8 days of my life!
