ABOUT ME
******I'll reply ONLY if you quote what I stated in my profile. unless you're that interesting that I'll still reply you but don't flatter yourself.******
About me... I(believe that I am) sociable. optimistic. independent. trustworthy. I don't believe in putting others at inconvenience for me so I think I've been quite a good CSer. At times, I seem very serious, but that's the way I look, not the way I am! I can be very serious and deep and discuss philosophy but I also enjoy silly jokes, crazy parties and having a good time. I'm rather open minded so I'd love to try new things.
For me on CS, communication is very important, especially with different cultures and meeting people for the first time. It is ABSOLUTELY important not to assume that people have the same habits as you and would react in the same manner as you think they would. I am open to different cultures and ideas, but it is important that we understand each other's expectations. So, if I've done something to offend you, please just let me know gently and I would do my best to make amends.
It is not your prerogative to come to my place and expect me to show you around, provide you food and let you stay for unlimited amount of time. It is my prerogative to decide to do that for myself! and of course, this principle applies to me too, when I couch surf.
However, that said, I find it offensive when hosts/surgers are non responsive, meaning, they don't pick up your calls as agreed, they don't tell you where and when to meet etc etc. I try my best to be a good host when people CS with me. For me, if you've agreed to host, the least you can do is to make it easy to meet! That said, I'm flexible and open to change, as long as it's sincere and communicative!
I prefer it when arrangements are made beforehand and adhered to without last minute changes. I don't like messages that don't give me information. I like having a plan and knowing what's going to happen.
PHILOSOPHY
That things will always turn out right because they happen for a reason. So even if shit happens, embrace it, because it will make you who you are and will be.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I used to host when I was living overseas. But right now, I can't offer you anything but the pleasure of my company for food or drinks. =)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
it's been great so far.
Please quote "kiasu people are kiasi" somewhere in your message so that I know you read my profile. This will ENSURE a reply from me. Also, please, at least, use my name in your greeting? It's annoying to get messages to ask for meet up without even having been acknowledged.
Interests
well, there're not too many specific, unique interests. I love reading fiction. Discussing philosophy is also one of my favourites, but only when I'm in the right mood. I love love love yoga-it's calming, good for your muscles and it's more of a challenge than you think.

Music, Movies, and Books
I don't take movies as an interest in itself; I watch it for social purposes. Many movies have failed to truly entertain me, so I often feel like I've been cheated out of my money. I do remember liking my very first favourite movie: The Bone Collector (that's when I was 15). I enjoy intelligent shows, with a good plot. For music, I listen to whatever's on the radio/tv/clubs.. I don't remember titles or singers, but I enjoy music for its own sake. So I like all sorts of music, as long as I enjoyed it.
Books are another thing. I enjoy reading, but I find myself too occupied with work etc to spend time reading. I read journals, facebook statuses, interesting articles, fiction, whatever interests me and there's nothing specific that does. If it does, it does. If it doesn't it doesn't.
The Picture of Dorian Gray is special to me. I read alot of Animorphs when I was younger, and I still love them. Really enjoyed both books by Khaleid Hossein-A thousand splendid suns and The Kiterunner. Atonement by Ian McEwan was also quite nice. My favourite series is the Xanth Series by Piers Anthony.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
living and travelling in India. showering with a broken pail (not mine) in a dirty, noisy, unmaintained train station by the corner wall tap. the most amazing thing was taking the mumbai intercity trains-it was crazy!
