We participate by opening our home to people who want to share ideas, are open minded and responsible, and are interested in furthering the idea of global consciousness.

We love seeing the world and meeting cool and interesting people. Food, drinks, hanging out and BSing about life, the world, politics or whatever is always high on our list of things to do. I am into skydiving, running, scuba, fishing and just about anything once. Melinda is a yoga instructor and general health nut.

lately, Shantaram and that Dragon Tattoo chick! Honestly we both listen to just about everything EXCEPT Country and Western. LCD Soundsystem, Nicki Minaj, Beastie Boys, Offspring, the classics - you know - AC/DC, Metallica, Iron Maiden! English Beat, the Specials, ska, rock, reggae, whatever. Oh yeah and Daft Punk this could go on all day...
Movies? Caddyshack, BeatleJuice, Dumb and Dumber, Tropic Thunder, Stripes, Good Will Hunting, anything with Jack Nicholson, really liked Avatar (total nerd, I know) Top Gun! (that's right, I AM dangerous)

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Melinda and I once spent 5 glorious days in Krueger Park in South Africa. We always talk about one particular morning that we drove our car into the park as soon as they opened the gate early in the morning. We had scoped out a watering hole the previous day and went straight to it just as the sun was coming up. Within minutes we found oursel ves surrounded by what seemed like thousands of water buffalo. It was terrifying and utterly breathtaking. Later that week we found a place near the lodge where hippos would walk just after sundown to move from a mudhole to a grazing area. We walked over and sat on a large rock and tried to sit completely still and silently as the sun went down. Sure enough in a short while, the hippos walked right past us, just a few feet away. Again, we were terrified - hippos are extremely dangerous if startled - and held our breath until they were gone. Then we were high-fiving and rolling around in the grass like little kids laughing our butts off.
