ABOUT ME

My name is Alwin Binder, 27 years old, and I consider myself as a young person who is open minded, easy going, tolerant and who loves to meet different cultures and people and always tries to make the best out of the challenges life offers to me.

To be more specific about what I do I should tell you that I studied “media and communication” in Augsburg, Germany and also in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I lived in South America some time, meeting people from all over the place. Also my visits to Chile, Brazil and Uruguay were parts of this really breathtaking time in South America. In March I moved to Canada with a Work & Travel visa. After 7 month in beautiful B.C. and a short stop back in Germany I started my Master in Sydney, Australia. It was a mind blowing experience, Oz is so beautiful and full of adventures and great stories!

In Germany and also in Argentina I made several short movies, both fictional and documental. I just love to spent my time in a creative way. For me, producing short movie and also photography is my big passion and a challengeing way to express myself. Now, with my new job I learn a lot about strategic communication and international public relations and I love it!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have spent a couple of amazing days in Copenhagen, Malmö and Lund. One year later I spent a fabulous time with some couchsurfers in Toronto. It was amazing! Last year Australia's couchsurfers hosted me up in Queensland where I spent some amazing days with wonderful people on the Whitsunday Islands, Townsville and Cairns!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couchsurfed a dozen of times now and I have been so lucky meeting those wonderful person in Denmark,Sweden Canada and Australia. My trips wouldn't have been the same without them!
