HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to the project, but anxious to get acquainted.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed a few couches from Huntington Beach, CA to Philadelphia, PA, and had a few surf my couch, but it has always been acquaintances or friends and think this will be a wonderful way to meet some interesting people with great fodder for banter.

Photography is my passion and I rarely am without my camera and a pack full of lenses and other gear. I also love to cook and food in general. I had the wonderful experience of working as a chef for a few years at a catering company. Searching out and partaking in the many culinary masterpieces of a city is quite satisfying for me. From a loaf of bread and some cheese on the move to a multiple course meal cooked by myself or another, I can think of few things better. I also love to wander. Cities the world over are ripe for wandering and sometimes I feel like I can meander though them forever.

My favorite author is Kurt Vonnegut. I love his wit and cynicism. I also like to read about history. Music taste is all over the board. There is not much I do not like, although I can do without the repetition of most electronic music.

One of the most amazing things that I have seen is the Gothic architecture of Prague. The jagged spires and dark stone evoke within me a great feeling of pride in the human race. Cities themselves, in general, are quite awe inspiring, really.
