CURRENT MISSION

We are a couple, Sue and Kjell, currently living in Stockholm. Our three kids are grown-up and we are nearing the end of our working days. Our mission is to enjoy ourselves, see the world and help others whenever we can.

ABOUT ME

Sue is the mother of our three kids, Martin (born 1977), Krister (born 1981) and Annika (born 1986). She was born in Liverpool, England and emigrated with her family to Australia in 1957. After completing school and nursing training, she returned to England for two years before going as a volunteer nurse to Bangladesh in 1973. There she met Kjell from Sweden who was a volunteer for a school building project, and they got married in Dhaka in 1975. Kjell lived in Stockholm Sweden until going out to Bangladesh at the age of 30! We stayed on working in Bangladesh until 1983 when we came to Sweden to make a home. Since then we have worked in Thailand and other Asian countries from 1996-2000 and in Nepal from 2009-2010. Sue is outgoing and smiley, Kjell is warm and calm and has great empathy with people. Both have a great sense of humour.

PHILOSOPHY

We love God and people and feel that our lives have a purpose for makng this planet a good and meaningful place. We want to contributrfe to reducing poverty and promoting everyone's equal value.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have had many couch surfers in our home and all have been wonderful. We stayed with one couple who had couch surfed with us, in their home n Montreal.

兴趣

We are both interested in working and travelling in other countries. We have worked previously in Bangladesh,Thailand and Nepal. We have travelled in Europe, Asia, Canada and Australia. We love outdoors activities such as hiking, canoeing, skiing, skating and biking but also enjoy reading in front of our living room fire in the winter.

We enjoy movies that are based on true life and focus on life in other countries. Music is classical, jazz and folksy! Books are for Sue, historical novels, long epics and biographies. Kjell enjoys books about spirituality, deep things of the heart and knowing oneself!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

We have hiked on the Annapurna trekking trail, we have surfed in the Pacific ocean on east coast Australia and we have paddled a canoe on some of the best lakes in Sweden!
