I've lived in Melbourne, Australia for most of my life but was born in the US to Sri Lankan parents and feel that I can claim Portuguese heritage with my last name :)
I studied finance for eight years, four years of uni at Monash and then postgrad...now I invest money for the Australian government. I also founded an events-based website in Melbourne (the-plus-ones.com). Feel free to check it out for fun things to do around town.
In my non-investment time I'm usually reviewing an event of some sort or at a bar, house party, singing power ballads or on a road trip...

I tend to organise events...I suspect well over 50 by now .
Bar crawls, free chocolate nights, tours of the botanical gardens, free beer events, making scarecrows, concerts in parks etc

I managed to spend a year overseas in Japan on exchange which was amazing...this was also the way that I learned about CS.
