ABOUT ME

I travelled for three months through Europe 30 years ago. I stayed and worked in Mainz for a year once my money ran out. I am nostalgic for visiting Europe again and bringing my young adult children with me. We are adventuresome and enjoy riding bikes, snowboarding, and experiencing new things. I would like to open up the world for them and see my old stomping grounds again.

Music, Movies, and Books

All sorts of music except ear-splitting racket; mostly comedic movies; all genres of books, especially historical fiction, biographies and New York Times fiction.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiked the south rim of the Grand Canyon; took four teenagers to the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City; road trip down the California coast; raised two children to enjoy travel; finished the Donner Lake Olympic distance triathlon; learned to ski as an adult and became a ski patroller; became a kindergarten teacher.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have been told I am a good baker. I have amazing recipes for cookies and breads. I would like to share cooking and baking ideas. Sharing ideas of travel spots and worthwhile detours would be great.
