Visit intentional and unintentional communities to see ways in which people are living cooperatively..and garden along the way
I am a plant lover and avid gardener. I am interested in meeting people from different backgrounds and hearing about their life experiences. I endeavor to help foster a culture of caring and sharing.
I am an organic farmer by trade. I grew vegetables for thirteen years in Rhode Island, USA. I am passionate about growing food in ways that are in harmony with the ecosystems that surround and support us.
In 2014, I visited eight intentional communities in the USA and one in Haiti. It was an amazing experience leaving me with a lot to ponder regarding what it means to live in community. I am eager to to share my experiences and help nurture more communal endeavors.
I enjoy simple living!
There are no absolutes. I try to be honest with myself about what intuitively feels right and follow that intuition.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
as a host and surfer
I have hosted, been hosted and had a very small group get together at my home. All of my CS experiences have been enjoyable and enriching
Life, love, liberty and all things related. Also bicycling, hiking, walking, sitting quietly in a natural setting, cooking, foraging, plants as food and medicine, gardening, seed saving, natural building, knot tying, doing more with less.
Music, Movies, and Books
I love a lot of different Music. One Straw Revolution by Masanobu Fukuoka and Omnivores Dilemma by Michael Pollan are two of my favorite books. For films, I am mostly into documentaries but also enjoy some fiction now and again
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Being present at Raramari celebrations in Copper Canyon, Chihuahua, Mexico.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know a thing or two about gardening, cooking, yoga, herbal medicine, bicycles, machines, sanding wood floors, home canning. I like to learn how to share and share what i've learned.
