ABOUT ME

I've never been good at describing myself. It feels as painfully uncomfortable as a job interview when asked to list my best attributes. But I can see the difficulty of online introductions without these little descriptive boxes to complete. So here goes -

We are two people, Jess and Tao. We like good manners and good haircuts. Our profile picture is many years old... from when we joined couchsurfing in 2008. I think we have better hair now.

We both rebelled hard against each of our sets of parents' alternative lives by 'mainstreaming' and getting professional jobs. We were probably alternative ourselves until 'hipsters' became a thing, and our second-hand clothes and vegetarianism were no longer so unique. We are grateful for all the hipster kids moving into our neigbourhood and making our lifestyle interests more available. Thanks you guys.

We used to live in Brisbane, then we lived in Sydney and now we live in London.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We met some of our best friends ever at Sydney Couch Surfing events.

We hosted quite a few times in our small apartment in Sydney.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We were once hosted in Paris and we were able to reciprocally host our Paris host in Sydney years later. That was very nice.
