About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Enjoy at least a year in Australia then have an amazing trip back, hang on, there is no back button
ABOUT ME
My favourite things in life are, in no particular order, feeling like I'm right in the flow and I'm facing downstream, being outside, climbing mountains, meeting sound people, conversations which go somewhere good, long walks, understanding where other people are coming from, spending time with my friends, being in love, beautiful sunsets and sunrises, swimming in the sea, in rivers and lakes even when they are freezing, watching fires, doing outdoor work all day so i fall asleep in a pleasantly tired way, watching Hibernian FC beat the Old Firm, reading poetry, feeling the buzz of artistic inspiration, eating pukkah tucker, feeling fit.
PHILOSOPHY
Spirituality is important to me. I am not religious, but my top three books are the Way of Chuang Tsu, Tao teh ching and the Dhammapada

Music, Movies, and Books
I like loads of music of different styles from indie rock n roll e.g. Kings of Leon, to classical, e.g. Leos Janacek, and house music, to oldies like the Stones, and I'm always reading to hear something new. Favourite novelists are Tolstoy and Herman Hesse, but I make slow progress with novels these days. I read a lot of poetry. Favourite obscure movies are those of Spanish directors Bigas Luna and Julio Medem and of Polish director Krystof Kieslowski. More mainstream stuff I like Crash, Heat, Casino, Traffic, and how could I forget Star Wars
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went to Russia for 3 weeks in 1991 before the end of Communism.
