About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To not grow up too fast

ABOUT ME

Hey, well basically I love new experiences. Meeting new people, trying new things. I'm extremely outgoing but don't mind being by myself. I'm not a big planner or sight-seer when it comes to travel. For me I'd rather sit in a cafe with a glass of red wine and talk with people. I love all kinds of cities and am fascinated by how other people live life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was a big user of CS a few years ago and loved it. I've been off the map for awhile and am excited to get back into it!

Interests

Oh man, well music is a big one. I see live shows at least once a week and love discovering new bands. I also love comedy and art, going out to dinner, finding new coffee shops, etc.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music, mostly indie rock and electronic but also bluegrass, balkan, you name it. Radiohead, Foals, the xx, Beach House, The Best Coast, Bob Dylan, Menomena, Beirut, Blonde Redhead, The National, Mates of State, Throw Me the Statue, Elliott Smith, Okkervil River, Hot Chip, Cat Power, CSS, Fiery Furnaces, Fleet Foxes, Grizzly Bear, Black Lips, My Morning Jacket, We Have Band, Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in Haiti for 2 months in March 2010 and it changed my life. I worked with a medical NGO even though I'm far from a doctor! Getting the chance to work alongside the amazing, hilarious, optimistic Haitian people completely humbled me and gave me lifelong friends.I later got the chance to spend 4 more months there in 2011, helping start a free English school for adults. Now I go back 2-3 times a year to administer exams at the school. Oh Haiti... how you cast a mystic spell on me.
