ABOUT ME

We were Ambassadors for Dunedin for a couple of years, but now retired.

We are a family, have been married for 35 years and have 3 adult children and 1 dog.
We are currently living in our caravan and travelling New Zealand and when finances allow we venture abroad.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We have hosted quite a few people over the years and love to help people to discover our last of the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Since we joined CS we have hosted and surfed and we love it. We have thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Hosting is like travelling without leaving your home. And surfing for us is quite humbling because of the generosity of people.
We believe everyone should host before they surf, but not everyone can do that. It gives you the opportunity of learning more of couchsurfing without leaving the safety net of your home. Once you have hosted 1 or 100 then it's much easier to dip your toes into the surfing. Well from our age and perspective we found it much easier.
So if you get the opportunity to experience both sides, go for it!

兴趣

We like watching all sports and playing tennis, squash and some soccer (football). Hamish loves planes and anything about them. He loves to ride his motorbike. Debbie loves old movies and likes to sit on the back of the motorbike.

We love most types of movies, except horror. We really enjoy our music, which ranges from rock, indy, pop to crooners and jazz. We'll listen to anything really.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Travelled to Africa in September 2013 and on safari we saw part of the massive wildebeest migration over the Mara River and while doing that we watched a 4m crocodile take out a wildebeest. AMAZING!

Went to Bali in the 80s, when it was still pretty much an exotic destination - in fact, it's where we met each other! We have walked the Milford Track (that's amazing).
Hamish used to have a private pilot's licence and Debbie has skydived.
