Outside of the website community proper, I have been hosted by many people and received tremendous generosity and guidance on my travels and am trying to give back the same.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hiked a very large mountain with my friends. They all knew that I had sort of led them in the wrong direction, and my ego was in the way telling me to continue. But they so gently and lovingly helped me realize this and we headed up the mountain. The next day I saw a red tailed hawk and cried at the dawn. I was still reluctant to continue but they urged me on, and eventually we made it to the top. It was one of the greatest adventures of my life, both outwardly reaching this beautiful mountain, and inwardly because I was able to let go of so much pain and need for control, to trust and aid my friends, and eventually to make it home safe and sound and healthy.
