About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Be able to find a place where to stay during the world cup in Brazil

ABOUT ME

You will learn more about me reading my profile, but because I didn't want to leave this section empty, here's a list of things I like to do : smile, play beach football, eat ice cream when it's freezing cold outside, jog under the rain (you sweat less), pet street dogs, play Fruit Ninja(more an addiction than a hobby) on my Ipod or Mario Bros on my brother's Super Nintendo, listen to old school music, eat dessert after (and before) each meal, miss my bus stop on purpose so I can walk longer, learn new languages, camping (as long as I don't have to start the fire), challenge my husky on races and beat her everytime because she can't stand hot weather, resolve problems using rock paper scisors (ex. Who's gonna wash the dishes? Rock Paper Scissors!), wining at Monopoly...

PHILOSOPHY

Haven't found it yet, but I'm slowly getting there...until then, I'll stick to Big Mouth Billy Bass's sayings

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far I had only two couchsurfing experiences (both were really good ones), one as a host and one as a couchsurfer, but I'm looking forward to increase this number both as a host and as a couchsurfer

Interests

I like to learn about new cultures through people and books, practice any kind of sports from football to bowling, (I often participate in races, I have recently done my first half-marathon) try new meals (and mostly new deserts)

Music, Movies, and Books

-Music: everything from Goo Goo Dolls to Francis Cabrel (Coldplay, The Fray, The Postal Service, Matisyahu, Back Street Boys, Mana, Autenticos Decadentes, Zoé, Kain, Cowboys Fringants and a lot more) and most lately Brazilian Samba
-Movies: my personal classics: Remember the Titans, The Mighty Ducks, The beauty and the beast
-Books (authors in alphabetic order): Amos Oz, Antoine de Saint-Exupery, Eric Emmanuel-Smith, George Orwell, Jonh Lecarré, Jorge Amado, Paulo Coelho, Primo Levi, Richard Bach, Yann Martel, and so many others...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Most amazing thing I've done: ingeniously infiltrate the Soccer City Stadium and get to see the 2010 FIFA World Cup final for free
(I intend to do the same in Brazil)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach:
-how to make French pancake
-how to pronounce the U in French (this is mostly for Spanish and Portuguese speakers)
-how to fish (though you'll have to cook it if we bring some back home )
-French (with a Quebequers' accent), English (with a French accent) and Spanish (with a mexican accent)
I want to learn:
- Samba and Salsa 'cause I love watching it but I don't know how to dance it
- Cooking 'cause I love eating food but I don't know how to prepare it
- Anything that I haven't learnt or tried so far

Countries I’ve Visited

Benin, Brazil, Canada, Costa Rica, Mexico, Panama, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, Togo, United States
