ABOUT ME

I am loving, warm, friendly, open minded, non-judgemental, fun loving, outgoing, young at heart, loud adventurous, a little bit crazy, a total extrovert and mother and grandmother. I love a good laugh although the joke is usually on me! My partner Heli tells me I am a "clown". I believe that everything I experience in life whether it be good or bad makes me a stronger and better person for it.. My family, friends and my partner Heli are everything to me. I have completed my Diploma of Counselling and I volunteer with various organisations as I like to give something back to the community. I am an animal lover and I run a boutique pet minding business on the NSW central coast. Basically i am a very straightforward person and i say exactly how i feel and what you see is what you get with me. Honesty for me is a valuable quality. I love to cook although I don´t eat fish or seafood and I really enjoy experiencing different food cultures. My partner Heli is Austrian (not to be confused with Australian) and is a relaxed, easy going, positive thinking guy who loves a good conversation and of course a beer and also enjoys kite surfing, martial arts and gold. Heli's family live in Austria so we travel to Europe quite a bit. We are both very easy going positive people and believe in karma "if you do good then good things will happen for you". We love to meet travelers and share our stories and offer them any advice they may need. Since we have now moved to the NSW Central Coast we are surrounded by lakes and beaches which is calming and relaxing.

PHILOSOPHY

I am a positive, forward thinking person who lives life to the fullest and experiences everything I can. In order to be loved you have to give love. Never let a day go by without telling someone you love them.. Don't regret the mistakes you make, try and learn from them instead! Every day we learn something new. I am inspired by everyday people who have been through trauma or personal tragedy and have gotten back up on their feet afterward and kept moving forward and who have remained open and honest and used their challenges to develop compassion for others and move forward in a positive way with their life. Life is not about counting your wins or losses it is about moving forward and not allowing the past to become part of your future.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first couch surfing experience was in Marrakech, Morocco many years ago and it was one of the greatest and most interesting things I have ever done. Couch surfing for me is about cultural exchange and I have met so many wonderful people and made lifelong friends..

Interests

Travelling, Meeting people, great conversation, cooking, going to the beach, entertaining, reading (true crime,autobiographies, self help, cook books), a good movie, dining out, a nice glass of savignon blanc or a southern comfort and coke... walking, listening to music. Heli loves climbing, hiking, kite surfing, martial arts and golf. Heli is very interesting, is a great conversationalist and a great listener...

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a diverse interest in books, I like non-fiction and anything to do with personal development and motivation but I also like to read something silly that I don't have to think about too hard. I love scouring through cook books looking for my next amazing recipe..

We don't usually read books without purpose or meaning! Heli loves heavy metal music and I enjoy easy listening (a vast contrast I know).

With movies, it all depends on our mood, we can watch childrens movies or a documentary it all depends on how we feel at the time. I particularly love childrens movies, thrillers and action and the occasional chick flick.

We can share our travel and life experiences and hopefully learn from yours... I follow the budhist philosophy for life and most importantly I believe in karma and that if you do good you will receive good things in return.
