ABOUT ME

When I was in high school I decided I would spend my junior year of university abroad in France and travel Europe, and that is what I did! I'm a fun laid-back girl, who loves spontaneous dance parties and finding that inner-child! Sometimes I may come off a bit shy at first, but as soon as I meet someone I am outgoing and full of laughs!
I love meeting interesting people and hearing their stories. When I travel, I like to do the local thing. (Obviously I have to do the touristy thing too...)
I love taking pictures when I travel, of people and places, because most of the time I find that it's more about the people you meet along the way than where you went!

PHILOSOPHY

Life is like a box of crayons. It doesn't matter how many you have, it's what you draw with them that counts.
I heard that in a speech once and thought, wow, that is true!

Interests

Running, Reading, Just hanging out with my friends and doing nothing in particular, I love being outdoors and hiking. Board games and movies. Laughing.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies:I love the classic American kid movies- like the Sandlot, Little Giants, Angels in the Outfield, etc. I can watch them again and again, quote them from start to finish, and never get bored! A League of their Own is still my all-time favorite movie (what can I say, I used to play softball like it was my life). Recently, I just saw Into the Wild and I thought it was beautiful and inspiring!
Music: I guess my taste in music is a lil bit emo, but I love most all types of music as long as someone introduces it to me! Dance music is also fun, especially when me and my roommates bust into spontaneous dance parties when getting ready to go out or when we're bored of studying. Best concert I ever went to, Dispatch Zimbabwe concert in NYC this past summer. Incredible!
Books: I love to read, but going to the bookstore is the most overwhelming thing because there are so many great choices, so again, I welcome recommendations! Currently reading a marathon training book, a book about destination marketing (kinda of a yawn book) and for fun, The Mapmakers Wife. And I have to say it, Le Petit Prince!
