Dont live to work, work to live and live to travel and travel 'til you stop living!
I'm a pretty simple fella, I grew up in a small country town by the coast, but love the big city life just as much as I do relaxing out in sticks.
I'm totally addicted to travelling. Nothing better than landing in a new place and experiencing a new culture, meeting new people and exploring places I've not been before (or revisiting the ones I loved)
I'm also a standup comic. Just dont ask me to tell you a joke and we will get on fine! But if I happen to be in your part of the world doing shows, come along and say gday. I'd be glad to have a beer afterwards. This is how you can see what I'm doing workwise.
Dream as if you'll live forever, live as if you'll die tomorrow.
If it makes you happy and it doesn't hurt anyone, do it and don't worry what people think of you. You will be a step closer to happiness.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'd surfed couches for many years now but only of mates I know or friends of friends, but never affiliated with this site, so I decided to join to expand the network. I work on the road a lot but when I do find a base I have been able to return the thanks by hosting when I can.
lost my couchsurfing virginity in style, picked up at the airport, yoga class and mexican dinner then midnight swimming in a backyard pool followed by a great sleep in my own room with ensuite and a cooked breakfast.
The next night I shared the cushions of a couch with 3 others!
This sums up couchsurfing, always a unique experience. Embrace it.
travelling. does that sound familiar anyone?

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: comedy, suspense, and home movies, doco's are fantastic. Planet Earth, Blue Planet.
Music: anything live, festivals are amazing. dont put my blinkers on when it comes to music, any style can be great at the right time.
Books: Maps (love picturing where I'm going next!) Bill Bryson stuff, he's great. biographies and real stories, nothing better than the real thing.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Seriously, just one?
The most amazing thing I've done is have the courage to venture into the world alone. Stepping out of my comfort zone and allowing the travel bug to take a big bite! Travelling with friends can be fun but I feel I get to know locals and open myself up to whatever comes my way better on my own. I've met some of the most amazing people this way. No, I won't hashtag journey, but I do appreciate the ride!
I like to think there are so many more great things to do and see that the best hasn't happened yet.
Teach, Learn, Share
Be kind, life's too short to be a prick. Get over it, any issues you've got are so small compared to the bigger picture. Don't compare yourself to others, there are, is and always will be people better off and worse than you, whether it be career, looks, money, life. who cares!? Just enjoy yourself and all will be good.
