About Me

Please read this before you ask for a couch:
CS is not a charity for poor travelers, you can't be in it just to save money, or maybe you can, but not in my place.
If you want to tell me your travel plans, that's great, I'd love to hear. But if you only tell me about what you need, what you want, how it will help you, I'm not even going to bother to reply. There are no code words hidden in my profile that you have to repeat, but you do have to give me the feeling that you read my profile and are truly interested in meeting me, even if you didn't need a couch. I'm like that when I'm looking for a couch and expect the same courtesy.

I'm a curious open-minded person. I always love to learn new things, meet people and listen to their stories. When I travel, I like to see the sights, but that's not my main focus, I mostly enjoy absorbing the local vibe and take my time, striking up conversations with complete strangers. I'm pretty relaxed and like to take it easy and slow when I travel, but if there's a chance for a good adventure, I will probably jump on it. I enjoy a deep or funny (or both) conversation while drinking something good. I love to discover local culture wherever I go, so will always very much enjoy different types of cultural events, art shows and concerts.
I don’t see the world through the filter of “Us” and “Them”, especially not the kind that divides people by nationality, religion, ethnicity or any of this kind of thing. I have very little tolerance to people who are intolerant, but If there might be an opening I will always try to start a dialogue. People might surprise you if you don’t judge them too quickly. And I might surprise yo if you chose to meet or host me...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's so much better to discover the world through local eyes, not just to visit a place, but to understand more about the life of people there. Also, I'm very independent and like to travel by myself, and couch-surfing is a good way to combine independent traveling with some company sometimes.
Unfortunately I can't accept guests at the moment, but I would be glad to meet people who come to Tel-Aviv and show them around.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was a tutor to the son of Guinea's president.
I moved to Paris with just a little money saved up and nothing waiting for me.
I still dare to dream.

Teach, Learn, Share

Most likely I will have my camera and can teach you some photography. I can also teach Hebrew, French, and help you improve your English. I'm a music buff so if you're into music I would gladly share my discoveries with you.
I would also love to cook together so we can maybe learn from each other.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Probably the same thing as the previous paragraph,
I will of course also share with you my good humor, my stories. And if you play an instrument I'll gladly sing along...

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Cyprus, Egypt, Germany, Greece, Guinea, Italy, Jordan, Luxembourg, Romania, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States
