ABOUT ME

Finally, i have a direction - hurrah! Bags packed, visa in waiting and looking towards Sydney, Australia.

However, before i get there, there's a slight detour of cental and south america to take care of.

I'm a 'what's around that corner' kind of person: an explorer at heart in a well-explored world.

It's all new to me though.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I met the most welcoming of hosts during my stay in Japan. My travels around that most intriguing of countries was made possible only by the genorosity of others.

And those who helped us out and showed us the ropes on all our travels - thanks guys.

Interests

I'm a drummer, so tapping on any avaliable surface takes up a fair amount of my time.

White water rafting (when out of the flats of Norfolk)

Scuba diving (when nowhere near the North Sea)

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a gluttonous appetite for music and then i go back for seconds. I’ll give most things a try but generally stick to all things electronic, post-rock, alternative, funk, afro-beat, acoustic, beats, hip-hop...whatever.

I have a soft spot for Mogwai.

Movies are good too. If it moves i’ll probably watch it, if it has zombies in, i definitely will.

I say to myself "i really should read more books" but i wonder if i really mean that. Kurt Vonnegut i like though.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbing Mt Fuji at night with a storm brewing all around us was quite the experience. When the sun made himself known the next morning, the searing pain seemed a small price to pay.
