ABOUT ME

After finishing our BAs at the University in California we moved to the Czech Republic where we taught English for two years at a University in North Bohemia. After that we moved to Holland to get our MA degrees. After getting married in 2009 we spent a few months traveling, climbing and practicing our Spanish in South America. After a year and a half of teaching kids in South Korea we missed Europe and especially the Czech Republic so we flew back to Prague in the spring of 2011 where we have been loving life ever since!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We haven't hosted or surfed too many times, but have attended meetings and parties in the Netherlands, back in the Czech Republic and in the states as well. When we can break away from school for a while we hope to do some surfing, but for now we'll stick to local stuff. We are always up for coffee or a drink!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We think couch surfing is great. We have met so many awesome people! It is so nice to know that wherever you go there are always cool people willing to hang out and talk. Its a great way to meet people when you are new in town.

Interests

We both love doing anything outdoors, especially hiking, running, rock climbing and snowboarding. As an anthropology student I'm also really good at "deep hanging out" as my professors used to call it. We also go pretty far out of our way to sample the best beers each country has to offer!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There are so many, it is hard to just name a few. All of the time we've spent in the mountains, whether it was in the Sierras of California, the Andes and Patagonia in South America, the Himalaya, the Alps or the beautiful Czech mountains we have loved it all. Hiking around Mount Blanc from France-Italy-Switzerland was a great experience, even if we did get more than our fair share of rain and snow for August!
