About Me

To have friends around the world and beyond

I am a bit of a free spirit, love to try new things and I am an urban tree hugger. I love art, music, film, Football(soccer), football(American), swimming, volleyball, shopping, and going out. I am always up for a good time. I grew up with parents who were hippies in the 80s which my friends say explains me a lot. I have been and participated in drumming circles, pow wows, hand made beads, art clubs, dance groups, ect... Always looking to add more to this crazy life.

I believe you have to love life because no one else is going to do it for you. Also I believe you should do what you know is right for you as long as you know you wont have any regrets about it.

Always try to live in the moment and sharing with others. I love the life I live and live the life I love.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I host, I surf, I live and I share CS with others.

I love all forms of art and expression. I like doing yoga, dancing to music even if I am by myself. Love to watch sports, go to shows, walk around festivals, see museums, and I love spending time having conversations about the world, politics and life in general especially with a glass of wine or a good beer.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a huge film buff. Slumdog Millionaire, Hot Fuzz, Saved, Flirting with Disaster, Memento, Saving Grace, About a Boy, The Fisher King, Milk, The Thin Man, Singing in The Rain, Monty Python, Tell No One, Paris J'taime, Sense of a Sexual Nature, I Love You Man, ect...

Music that moves the soul and awakens the body I like. Arctic Monkeys, Thievery Corporation, Sigur Ros, Mos Def, Massive Attack, The Fratellis, Janis Joplin, The Beatles, Menomena, Matisyahu, Luke, Wolfmother, Queens of the Stone Age, Bon Iver, LCD Soundsystem, The Yelling, Flamboyant Bella, The Gossip, The Rakes, ect... Podcast changed my life and I love the BBC introducing, introducing Scotland, NPR all songs considered and Tom Robinson intoducing.

I the way of books I like political, crime thriller, philosophical, theological, humor. I suggest reading The Savage garden-Mark Mills, Eat, Pray, Love - Liz Gilbert, Misquoting Jesus - Ehrman, Winkie - Clifford Case, The Book of Lost Things - John Connolly, Gods behaving Badly - can't remember the authors name, The Disk World Novels - Terry Pratchett and who dosen't love Harry Potter

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have done some cool things. As a kid I participated in Native America drumming circles in New Mexico, took African drum class in my home town, I have also been up close to Orca whales in the Pacific and done mission work in the Appalacian mountains and Vermont. I have traveled through most of the USA and parts of Canada and am ready for the rest of the world.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you have something to teach I am happy to listen. You learn from each person you meet. Life is learning and meeting people is the key to a full life.
