ABOUT ME

I am an artist and musician looking for great adventures, experiences, and interesting and strange minds to hang out with. Although I love to travel and meet new people I am currently keeping myself relatively busy with my artwork and my atempt to support myself. I recently moved to Washington DC from Baltimore because of my job assisting a neon Artist in town. I also rent my own studio outside of the city where I try to keep up a studio practice of my own.

PHILOSOPHY

The only constant is that there is no constant. That is kind of where I stand with personal philosophy. What I believe today will be transformed tomorrow. I have a different motto everyday. One that I come back to often is, "living in acceptance of ambiguity." Good advice for artists, musicians, or people without a straight path to personal "success"

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am not able to host people at the moment but I would be into getting coffee or a drink with someone from out of town. I am also interested in finding people in DC! I am looking for fun and interesting people to hang out with.

Music: So many many things. Mostly Folk, Blues, Country blues, Bluegrass, anything related to American roots music. I love old R&B, Soul, and Doo-Wop. Good singing, beat, ramblin' banjo, yodleing, wailing harmonica, hootin' and a hollerin', music you can stomp to. Good old love ballads, heart break ballads, and the kind of singing that soothes the soul.

I love learning new songs or teaching people songs. I play guitar and sing and can show you a couple chords. I also enjoy building stuff and making things out of all sorts of materials. I like talking about methods for putting things together.
