There is goodness in everybody. Being a pessimist about the world is easy (all too often I succumb to it), but it takes a strong person to see, acknowledge, and understand the bad, and still remain positive.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I don't currently have a couch, but I've showed people around Colorado Springs (which can be helpful with our sub-par public transportation system) and have of course enjoyed the hospitality of others when I travel.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hadn't realized I hadn't updated this in a while. Wonderful opportunity to meet fascinating people in a few different places - London, Munich, Vancouver, and Toronto so far. Sometimes we get to spend time together talk about society, culture, great travel stories, and sometimes it's a quicker trip. I've always been extremely grateful. Nobody knows the city like the locals! I've really enjoyed showing people around Colorado Springs, even if it isn't the top tourist destination in the world. The mountains are beautiful and you can't beat the weather.

I started learning to swing dancing last fall which is also an amazing community of people. I've gotten to travel a little bit with those events. I really need to practice my Spanish and Portuguese.
