ABOUT ME

I currently live in Oakland, CA. I am from the US and used to live on the east coast in Philadelphia. Prior to that, I grew up in central Pennsylvania on a family-run vineyard where we grew a lot of our own food in gardens and orchards and lived in a house that my parents designed and built. I went to college to study painting. I also studied Italian and art history, and I lived in Italy for part of my studies. I then returned to school to become a teacher.

Currently, I love to ride bicycles. I love to cook and eat, and I maintain a vegan diet. I don't smoke, and I have a cat. I enjoy wine and beer and other libations. I have recently learned to brew beer, and the next project is limoncello! I feel strongly about the necessity to remain socially and environmentally responsible. I love language and reading, and I write some music too.

The last place I visited was Japan. My current creative endeavor is related to my next destination: I am designing and sewing my own bicycle touring panniers for the cycle tour we are planning for this summer in Italy. I can't wait!
