ABOUT ME

I grew up in the beautiful but damp british countryside and studied in London. I love both places with equal weight. Now I live in China...lets see what happens.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm not sure how to answer this question. But I was listening to an interview on the radio yesterday and heard this: 'Think of the world as an organism, not because you believe it is, but because if you see it as a pile of rocks you won't mind if they get kicked over. If you see as an organism, a baby or something thats needs nurturing, you might start to protect it'. Not sure this is my personal philosophy, but I agree with it and it is currently the idea on my mind.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted a number of people since starting, and have enjoyed each experience. I have surfed a couple of couches. One was fantastic, and I made a friend for life. I think CS is an amazing community of people based on a common humanity.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Sitting around a table having good chats, wandering london at night, sitting on Nelsons column with a bottle of cheap wine, dancing and laughing.

Interests

Spending time with others, spending time alone, reading, writing, live music, playing outside, playing inside and then sometimes all I want to do is sit and mull over...nothing. I have recently written a list of things I have ever wanted to do and I'm currently working my way through it (so far, I have started to learn Tribal Fusion bellydance and to play the ukulele)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I rented an apartment in a tiny town in the south of China. The apartment was built into the side of a cliff and had a waterfall next to it. I spent a month hanging out with my chinese neighbours, rarely speaking english.

The most amzing thing I have seen is watching baby green turtles hurry to the sea for the first time with flourescent algae guiding their way.
