ABOUT ME

I am a laid back educated guy who likes to relax with friends, eat, drink, and be marry. But that doesn't stop me from engaging in much activity including but not limited to writing, playing ice hockey, hiking, backpacking, car camping, surfing, rollerblading, or curling up with a good book.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm just trying to figure it out like the rest of you...but if I were pinned down I would say to try to at least smile, if not laugh, with each moment of my day.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Nothing but good things to say!!!!! Except this: I have noticed in the last number of visits we have had here that many visitors seem to treat our couch more like a hotel room, complete with "room service" of a sort, and less like an opportunity to meet folks and enjoy the cultural exchange that I so enjoy. So, if you are looking for a hotel, please check in to a Days Inn or any of the many hotels available in Beijing, my wife and I are not hotel staff, nor are we interested in becoming hotel staff.
