About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Get under Rio's skin.
ABOUT ME
I'm a Norwegian journalist living in Rio de Janeiro!
Until a year ago, I lived in New York City, studying for a Master's degree in International Affairs at Columbia University. I normally travel a lot. In 2008 I spent six months backpacking in Latin America, from Mexico to Colombia. In March this year I returned to my beloved Colombia once again. Before that I lived for six months in Amman, Jordan, where I worked at the Norwegian embassy. That was just after returning from living in Burma and Thailand for half a year.
I really like to get to know new people, and I think it is very important to show hospitality and to help other travelers. I like to talk, and long conversations about politics, philosophy or life generally is highly appreciated! I have been sailing all my life, and I am working a lot as a sailing coach for kids. I was working with this in Burma and rest of South East Asia in 2007.
I just realized this personal description seems really dull!! Shit, I need to fix it! Seriously, I'm not dull at all! I like doing f...loads of funny stuff, and I am an experienced partier! And I really like to jump from very high things into water! Head first! And I like to claim that I am a decent cook - so I'll be happy to make you dinner if you host me!
PHILOSOPHY
This is the only life we have (no, there is no heaven or eternal life), so we'd better make the best out of it! Let's do it together!
