About Me

taste the air of distant countries

I am a man of many goals, many desires, and too little time to complete them all. But hopefully with the short time I do have, I can complete a fair amount. I am quite eclectic and somewhat of an oximoron at times. But at the end of the day it all turns out to be a fairly likeable person... at least I think so. You should find out for yourself though.

"I'm not afraid of dying...I'm afraid of not trying."

I all to often find myself sitting on my ass rather than going out there and living. I am eliminating distractions that prohibit me truely living and jumping in head first.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My couch will be given as I hope other will give theirs to me. Comming to South America, Brasil in particular, has shown me a whole other side to the community and I hope to enjoy it more, not only here, but also bring that back to Oakland.

I had my first experience in 2008 in Ethiopia and loved it. Since then I have also surfed in London, and have hosted a couple of people in Oakland. Now I am surfing my way across South America. (Let me know if you have a couch for me or an opportunity to meet up.)

Music, Movies, and Books

ALL music has its time and place... in my head. Favorite book is "Leaving" but also enjoy 11 minutes as well as a few others by Paulo Coelho and anything by Nick Hornby.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing the Nile River was pretty amazing, but more so just participating in life and meeting our fellow man as I travel.

Countries I’ve Visited

Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, England, Ethiopia, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Jamaica, Mexico, New Zealand, Scotland, Thailand, United Kingdom, Viet Nam, Zambia

Countries I’ve Lived In

Brazil, United States
