About Me

meeting awesome people, visiting awesome places, finishing grad school and finally having time to clean my apt

Tat Tvam Asi

Just be happy. Focus on the positive. Smile.
Hug strangers. Be mindful. We are all the same loving cosmic energy, me, you, the trees, the wind, the ocean....it is all made up of the same energy....the earth is living and breathing, it has a heartbeat and it is our heartbeat..

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

surfing abroad & organizing gatherings in my city

I first couchsurfed in Israel in the summer of 2008...it was my first time traveling alone but I met amazing people and had really memorable experiences..
I recently couchsurfed Israel Jan - March 2010. It was another incredible experience :) I met some great people...
I really can't thank them enough for all their help, love, hospitality, and friendship.

I've also started organizing CS gatherings, and so far they have been amazing :) I have been so blessed to meet such great and fun people traveling through my city!

I'm excited to see where life takes me next :)

I enjoy being awake when the world is only waking up, fresh rain in the summer, cherry blossoms, running through sprinklers, philosophy, art, sustainable ecology, good food, loving, laughing, breathing, living, and following the Tao.

Also, mint iced tea, breathable cotton shirts, and puppies.

I know I come across like some sort of hippie, which may be true, but human beings are mutli faceted and I WAS raised in Brooklyn, so I definitely inherited some New Yorker qualities like sarcasm, wit, and complaining!

Music, Movies & Books

Books - Alan Watts, Dostoevsky, Albert Camus, Nietzsche, Heraclitus, Thich Naht Hahn, Buddha, Yevgeniy Yevtushenko. Currently trying to get through several poetry books, eastern philosophy, and Israeli history.

All kinds of music & as for tv and movies either comedy, foreign or deep, soulful and thought provoking films.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

The most amazing thing I have done is become part of the FREE HUGS campaign....I have been offering free hugs to strangers in my city for over two years. It allows me to make someone smile, laugh, or just feel like the world isn't such a lonely place after all.
