ABOUT ME

I was born in Canada and became a traveller thanks to my parents. They took my brother and I to Spain every summer for 15 consecutive years while we were growing up. My father took me to Asia (Japan, Thailand) when I was 11. I then attended University before taking off to Asia. I spent nearly 3 years in and around Asia and I'm planning to travel some more. I returned to Canada to spend time with my 100 year old grand-mother (who is now 101!) and to work in restaurants. I am now working as a Liaison Officer a University, which allows me to travel around Canada. And I will continue to travel around the world at every opportunity that comes my way !

PHILOSOPHY

Perspective is everything.

Travelling is the best thing anyone in the world can do. Ever. It opens one's eyes to everything unbeknownst to them.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I joined the community after having heard about it countless times. I've always been said to be a great host and the life of the party. I also want to share my experiences with the multitude of cultures I've encountered on my travels, as well as learn more about all the cultures I have yet to discover.

I have hosted a few couchsurfers while living in South Korea and met a few others for coffee and drinks.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

So many stories...best told face-to-face.

For now, I find it amazing that I've broken free of the "shackles" or the "norm" by doing what I've wanted to do for the past few years and look forward to perpetuate this amazing feeling :)

I also once participated in a volunteer mission to the Dominican Republic and Haiti and really discovered and felt the difference that individuals can make in the lives of others...and that felt amazing !
