About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To have fun & many more travels/holidays.
ABOUT ME
Creative, hard-working, fair, very reasonable, good natured, funny (to others, usually at my own expense!), easy going and chatty, kind & friendly. I get along with everybody, am generous and curteous. People call me posh but I'm not really - I think it's the accent? The other thing people note is my lateness, bacause I'm always cramming loads into my day, but I've never missed a flight on all my travels, hmm... trains on the other hand!
PHILOSOPHY
Some philisophical quotes I'd use include: You get out what you put in. CHANGE IS GOOD. See the good. Say 'Yes' more. What goes around comes around ~ karma, my friend. It's nice to be important but it's more important to be nice. Work HARD but play HARDER. Work to Live not Live to Work. It's not the hours you put into your work but the work you put into your hours. Practise & Preparation Prevent Piss Poor Performance. Is at first you don't succeed try, try & try again.
Life moves pretty fast, if you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Was around when a friend hosted a few times in Sheffield. A big group of us met up for cinema trips, pub outings etc. All good experiences, met loads of interesting people. Looking to Couchsurf host myself when I eventually get my own place. Not yet coachsurfed myself. Looking to do it to save some dosh on my 6 month trip.
Interests
Love to cook (hence my profession), enjoy wine/beer etc, I'm very comfortable in the kitchen domain. I like popular culture & art/design. I really enjoy meeting new people & love travelling.

Music, Movies, and Books
Love funny adventurous books like those from Bill Bryson, Danny Wallace, Dave Gorman. Also love Sue Townsend (read it so many times). Got into my Phillip Pullman & Harry Potter series, not to mention Twilight etc.
Music Indie, Dance, Pop, Punk, Rock, Classical & everything else besides/inbetween. Fave bands include; Foo Fighters, Faithless, Muse, Chemical Bros., Primal Scream, Prodigy, Kasabien, Groove Armada, Air, Charlatans - keeping it old school indie.
Love going to the cinema. Will see anything but trash & kid flicks or bad blockbusters/sequels. I love cult, old-school films. Favourite film has to be Ferris Buellers Day Off, have seen it over 100 times.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Travelled around the world solo for one year. Saw the best shooting star EVER over Uluru, was dumb-struck for 10mins in awe. Bungy-jumped which for me was the most exhilerating thing ever. I've been to Monument Valley US & Kakadu OZ, both places felt very special almost spiritual & definately took me 'somewhere else' without wanting to sound a bit hippy! Saw Muse in the new Wembly - amazing gig. Bestival (Isle of Whight '07) - best festival, a truly fun & friendly fest. Galloped along the beach on horseback in OZ. Saw the Sydney fireworks - on NYE '02/2003, was so good I dont mind saying I shed a tear. Saw massive humpback whales off the coast in Equador.
Teach, Learn, Share
Well as I'm a teacher of Food Tech it has to be cooking & sharing travelling experiences. I also have quite a reppetoire of random facts, mostly useless, but they are the source of constant amusement to my friends.
