About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Cultivate peace in my heart and mind, spread this to others.

ABOUT ME

I love to listen, travel, expand my mind, serve, help others, connect, meditate, read, cook, bake, eat, stretch, bicycle, soak in hot springs...Don't smoke, drink, eat meat, nor do drugs. My main goal in this life is to understand and cultivate peace.

PHILOSOPHY

Breath comes in. Breath goes out. Love is at the base of everything, even if we can't see it all the time.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Bicycling across Utah in the spring of 2005, I encountered a snow storm with 25+ mph head-winds pelting me in the face with ice crystals. A kind stranger stopped and gave me his phone number. Said if I got to the town he lived in, I could call him for a hot shower and maybe a place to stay. It was only about 10 miles up the road and I had planned to do another 28 after that that day. However, an hour and a half later, I arrived at the edge of town and the prospect of a hot shower and maybe a bed after 200 miles and 5 days sleeping on the side of the road in the snow was just too tempting. I called him. He took me in, gave me his son's bedroom, and tried kindly to figure out how to feed a vegetarian. His hospitality brought tears to my eyes. I'll never forget his kindness.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I ordained as a Buddhist nun for 7 months in Thailand. I shaved my head and eyebrows every full moon and wore white robes. I lived out of my day pack in a small simple room, slept on the floor, ate only one or two small meals per day, and meditated a lot.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share level 2 reiki energy healing and reflexology foot massage. I can also crochet a little, and I bake wonderful bread. I would love to learn more about meditation and am happy to share what I have learned so far. May all beings be well and happy and peaceful.
