About Me

ABOUT ME

I like to have fun. Every day is an experience and should be taken full advantage of. I enjoy most everything, I have fun just talking over a cup of tea or cliff diving. I tend to be a happy and fun loving guy. Meeting people and learning about them is one of the keys to understanding the world.

“You gotta love livin', baby, 'cause dyin' is a pain in the ass.” -Frank Sinatra

PHILOSOPHY

You have to try everything at least once, if you don't like it maybe you should try it again. I live to learn and to explore. If everyone took the time to listen to each other, we may just find all of our problems have solutions.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I have hosted one person, it was a great experience. I have met many couch surfers just walking around. I have gone out for drinks with many CS'ers and have been to a ping-pong tournament hosted by a local CS'er in Krakow. I have gone on hikes, traveled around parts of India, and had cookouts with various surfers.

Interests

Outdoors! I love being outdoors and enjoying nature. Sports are always fun, as are movies and music. My goal in life is to do as little work as possible in order to support my travel goals. I truly enjoy meeting people and learning about their culture and what they do for fun. Everyone is so different, it is always interesting to learn a new point of view.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies:
Safety Last!, The Freshman (1925)... anything with Harold Lloyd, he was amazing... newer stuff: The Wall, Black Sheep, Tommy Boy, I like comedies.

Music:
I can listen to almost anything from Pink Floyd to Rob Zombie, from Louis Armstrong to Lamb of God. So... all kinds of rock, most blues, jazz, metal, ska, and everything in between, but not crazy over pop or hip-hop.

Books:
The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari, Ugly Americans, The World is Flat, Confessions of an Economic Hit Man, The Trial, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Dune... There are too many good books to list them all.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Cliff Diving, it is such a rush. Whenever I jump I get the greatest feeling and the greatest rush. When you are in the air it is amazing, and when you hit the water you can't wait to do it again.

I have only seen video of base jumping, but I really want to learn how to base jump. That looks like the ultimate rush.

I thought the world
Turns out the world thought me
Its all the other way round
We're upside down"
- Eddie Vedder, "Cropduster"
