About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see as much amazing art and architecture as humanly possible. Add drink good wine.

ABOUT ME

I have been told that I have a sweet Southern molasses voice that could make Scarlett O'Hara sound like she came from Jersey.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

New to couching surfing, hoping it will give me the chance to meet new people everywhere I go.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've met wonderful folks through couchsurfing... a girl who left me very cool socks after her stay, a guy that came for 3 days and ended up being one of my best friends EVER, and a lovely Venetian who bought me dinner and wondered around the city with me. All great people. Must meet more!!!!

Music, Movies, and Books

Tom Robbins is my literary comfort food.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Best Museum experience ever was at the Whitney Biennial in 2010. Michael Asher proposed a conceptual artwork that allowed the museum to stay open 24 hours for only 3 days. I rode the Chinatown bus into NYC all night, got to the museum at 6AM and was able to see the entire show with no one else around. THIS NEVER HAPPENS IN NYC MUSEUM. Bonus, I was able to hit the Guggenheim, MET, and MOMA before I had to get back on the bus at 4PM. Perfect 24-hour kamikaze art trip!

Teach, Learn, Share

I have lived in Hampton Roads, VA my whole life. And I think it is a great place to live. Norfolk is a military town at heart and for years I have tried to be the person who shares all that is wonderful about my hometown with those new to it. I want to meet the people like me, who love where they are and can tell me where to see the best sunsets and get the best sushi.
