ABOUT ME

Well, first off, our names are Ambre and Karis. We are best friends and best sisters. :) We are 26 and 24, respectively. As we are both on university break, we decided to travel this summer and only recently heard about couch surfing. We think this would be an amazing experience, and look forward to getting to know the locals and sharing travel stories. We both enjoy sightseeing and also enjoy going out to experience the city firsthand.

PHILOSOPHY

We believe that everyone has a personal duty to explore, dream, and open their mind to the outside world. We feel that everyone has a unique story and a unique path, and we truly admire those who acknowledge their freedom to explore and develop themselves.

We value quality over quantity friendships and experiences, as well as the concept of balancing work and play.

Above all, we value honesty, loyality, and those of good character.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We haven't had the chance to extend our homes to anyone off this site yet, but we would be happy to help out those with an interest in Canada.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Ambre lived around Australia a few years ago, often in shared rooms, and once on a mattress in a friends hallway! We have experience staying in a range of settings (from Country Clubs to beach shacks) so we are very adaptable to our temporary and new environments. We are (I'd like to think) very courteous and always want to help out and never to overstay our welcome.

Interests

We like: smart people, globe trotting, positive thinking, big sunglasses that bring out the Hollywood in you, Cafe Del Mar, tapas, starving artists, being nice, photography, interior design, vino tinto, Homestar Runner, promenades, and of course each other

We don't like: spiders, being cold, snobbery, Nickelback, bad hair days

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Some good things we have seen/done: surfing on the Gold Coast, working in the music industry, performing at the NYC Salsa Congress, clubbing in Istanbul... ahhhh haha we don't know, we are sure that a lot of fun stories will come up along the way.
