ABOUT ME

I'm the eldest of four and wear glasses.
I enjoy being around people - new friends and old - but also love wandering on my own, letting my feet guide me.
I like hiking, biking, drinking tea and talking, going out, listening to music, art galleries, window shopping, bookstores, libraries, playing mandolin and singing. I also like dancing (especially swing and salsa)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i've hosted surfers in my last two houses, back in Canada and am excited to host here in Oxford during the summer. I've surfed in Canada and the US and am especially looking forward to surfing in the next year.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couchsurfed with a friend through her profile (Zani Showler)in PEI, and in Georgia and Luisianna. i've also hosted numerous couchsurfers, but sometimes through roommates' profiles.

Interests

Languages. Soccer and Ultimate Frisbee. Meeting new people and discovering common interests. Gardening. Being outdoors in the sun. Dancing and enjoying music. Eating good, fresh food (also cooking). Biking around.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't watch many movies, but I like them. I recently saw Exit through the Gift Shop. I watch the Wire. I enjoy short stories these days - and non-fiction.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach some basic mandolin, some fermentation techniques (I love making Kefir!), gluten-free baking, introductory rock climbing. Basic French, German, English, Economic theory...
I'd love to learn more bike skills, gardening techniques, cooking skills, maybe a knitting pattern - hands-on skills.
