About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To get hold of even more awesome music.

ABOUT ME

I'm a 27 year old guy who has been living in Bristol for about 8 months now and feel like I have settled into my new home. I can be a bit quiet sometimes (at least until i get some kind of substance inside of me) but am friendly and like meeting people. I love partying and going to gigs, music is one of the most important things to me and listening to it live or in clubs is a huge part of my life. I'm lucky enough to be friends with a lot of talented people in Bristol who make amazing music, art, clothes etc and I spend a lot of my time helping out my friends who run an awesome sound system in the city (Neverlution). I also like doing quiet things though, and I really enjoy wandering round galleries or museums or even just sitting around in the park listening to dub, or going for a couple of drinks in a pub with a few friends. I also really enjoy cooking food and trying out new recipes. I am a vegetarian at the moment and was previously a vegan for a few years and will probably go back to it one day. I often say fairly odd things and have a fairly surreal sense of humour which can confuse people but thats half the fun of life. I have fairly strong opinions about life, politics, society and the world and will speak my mind about things that are going on as well as being involved in the IWW. I'm also a big fan of standup comedy and like to see it live whenever i can. I'm not really that into sport but i sometimes like watching rugby and cricket (mainly so I can drink cider in the sun with friends tbh) and I have been getting into cycling and bouldering since I moved down to Bristol. Oh and i'm terrible at filling in 'getting to know you' columns on websites.

PHILOSOPHY

If God did exist it would be necessary to punch him in the face.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have been to Budapest where i slept on a lovely lady called Baroka's floor. She made us food and made us feel really welcome in her home. I have also been to the Netherlands where i have had a great time being hosted by lots of cool people. I have also travelled in places like Nepal and Kenya as well as meeting couchsurfers in Berlin, Amsterdam and various UK cities and occasionally crashing out on a sofa/floor. I have also hosted a few times while in Sheffield and hope to be able to get back into it a little bit in Bristol.

Interests

Music, music, music, running around in the road with a flag annoying the authorities, Anarchism, squatting, social housing, urban planning, cooking and good food, computer games, films, good tv/documentaries, free parties, club nights, gigs, reading (especially politics and sci fi/dystopian books... mmmm nerdy), raving like an idiot, urban exploring, bouldering, cycling, putting on events, free education, radical history, ruining music and clearing dancefloors.

Breakcore, Ragga, Jungle, Drum and Bass, 8-bit/Chiptune, Ska, Punk, Dub, Dubstep, Post Rock, Post Metal, Death Metal, Grindcore, IDM, Jazz, Electronica, Techno, Old School Rave, Blues, (some) Folk and anything weird and wonderful.

Loads of films to choose from but if its got either samurai or zombies i'm definitely interested.
