ABOUT ME

I grew up in Australia, have a German mother and am currently living in Ireland - for the craic! I love to travel and meet new people of all walks of life and exploring different cultures and related experiences. I've travelled a bit in my time and although i love my dear home of Australia, i find i'm always longing to come back to Europe...

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At first i must admit i was very sceptical of this whole set up, i mean free accommodation?! sounds too good to be true. But i've since learnt it's more than that, it's about a community of people selflessly helping other people who are travelling, exploring and wanting to meet others - regardless if you're surfing or hosting. It's just like when you have a friend of a friend to stay or visit, except in this instance the middle friend is CS!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm new to this whole experience but the more i flick through the countless pages of couchsurfers and stories told i'm growing rather fond of it - let the surf begin!

I love travelling, films, drinking, socialising, meeting new people, photography, music, shopping for bargains (i'm a self confessed ikea addict) and if i had it my way i wouldn't work at all and would have endless amounts of money to support all of my interests ;)

Having studied film and media i love all sorts kinds of film, particularly arthouse, foreign and independent cinema. Love music, especially anything i can dance to from rock, punk, funk, hip hop, jazz, or even just a lot of drumming, all puts a smile on my face. The majority of books i've read are travel guides along with the local newspaper so i'm up to date with what's happening around me wherever i am in the world.
