Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Every moment is an opportunity to celebrate or complain, find the party!
ABOUT ME
Whether it's dancing, hiking, speaking-Spanish or nursing you'll find I'm a bubbly person who loves to meet and make connections. When I go somewhere, I'm usually more interested in the people than the places themselves. My favorite thing to do is find myself on an adventure whether it be, a new trail, a new thing to learn, or a night that's yet to unfold. At the same time, a good book that triggers a reading marathon on the couch has it's own kind of thrill.
PHILOSOPHY
Live your fullest life. I don't want "lived cautiously" written on my gravestone.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I couchsurfed just a few times but have really enjoyed the exchange and authentic experience that comes with it. I just bought a home and with discussion with the roommates, I look forward to sharing it with the couchsurfing community.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My first experience was in 2008: Granada, Spain! My host took me hiking, to tapas bars, and was in general an amazing host with such a fun and positive attitude. It made me want to couch surf more! Also, in meeting my host I also met another surfer who I ended up traveling with for many days even after we left our host.
Interests
I love the outdoors, camping, gardens, the Spanish language, cooking, DANCING- My favorite styles are salsa and blues, but I also love this new lyrical dance studio I started going to. I want to learn Samba dance! My profession, nursing, is also a big passion of mine. I love it and can't imagine doing anything else.
Music, Movies, and Books
Favorite books: Life of Pi, Harry Potter, and Suite Frances. Favorite music includes Pop in general and Latin pop, Reggae, Blues and alternative rock. Favorite movies - "My Big Fat Greek Wedding", "Amelie" and "Motorcycle Diaries".
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Definitely dog sledding in Eli, Minnesota is at the top of life changing experiences. No mirrors, showers or civilization for 8 days. Survival based living only. Sitting in the sauna after the expedition and then jumping into a hole in the ice. Once in a life time experience.
Teach, Learn, Share
I make a really great challah bread. I can share my knowledge and passion for dance, especially blues and salsa. I can give good massages. I have also worked abroad and can share about this experience or teach others interested in learning about nursing. I would love to practice my Spanish, learn dance and local cooking if possible. Most of all I want to know what you love about your unique community.
