To enjoy life
Deborah Wolf | Create Your Badge
I suppose I'm on a mission to enjoy all the pleasures and mysteries that the world has to offer. I am here to inspire and to be inspired to live a more adventurous and fulfilling life.
Treat people as you would like to be treated. If there is something that you have needed help in, help others with it and you may receive it back. If you are lost (as I often am) help others to find their way.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Couchsurfing has made traveling a really positive experience for me. It's allowed me to meet some of the most wonderful people in my life. I love it for the use of meeting new people wherever you're at and experiencing a city with them and with their personal perspective.
I left my country for the first time in my life and moved to Rome a little less than 2 years ago and didn't know anyone, save for my one friend from New York who was really busy and I didn't see very much. It was really lonely. I had signed up on couchsurfing about 2 years prior, but never quite used it. I decided one weekend that it might be the remedy for what I was feeling. It changed everything for me. Everyone on couchsurfing is really welcoming and hospitable. I no longer felt alone in a foreign city.
Reading books and watching movies that broaden my awareness of the universe and what is out there. I'm really passionate about venturing back to nature (as opposed to chemicals and all things unnatural that they are trying to sell us) and finding true health and happiness from that. I'm really passionate about psychology, my own, and others.
Music, Movies, and Books
Some of the movies that I love are Fight Club; Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind; Edward Scissorhands; Lars and the Real Girl; (I know I'm forgetting something important)!
Books, Most things by Paulo Coehlo; The Celestine Prophecy; Conversations with God; Seth speaks; The Law of Attraction; Born to Run; and a wealth of different books on eating naturaly.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've found amazing people who I love and appreciate with my whole heart and have been equally loved and appreciated back by these same people. It might not sound amazing, but it feels that way.
Teach, Learn, Share
One conversation or experience can change your whole perspective on life. I'm open to having such conversations.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I find that when someone is hosting me, they are always interested in my experience about where I come from and the new countries that I have seen. I think it's a really wonderful thing to connect with people from different cultures and take into account not only how your culture makes you different, but as well to notice the commonalities between you despite it. I also really enjoy cooking :)
