About Me

CURRENT MISSION

if it's going to happen, it will happen to me!

ABOUT ME

I'm a girl... unless you didn't notice. I'm half Swiss, half south African. I grew up in South Africa, but due to a disastrous year, I came to Switzerland. I currently live in a blink and you miss it town in Switzerland called Champfer. It's my paradise. Seeing I'm into photography this place is amazing. the fact that i live in the swiss alps also means i ski. alot. in fact, i am also a ski instructor in the winter. in summer i spend my days at the silvaplana lake and kite surf. this is the newest of my hobbies, and quickly becoming my favorite hobby.
I'm slightly crazy. I love to party. I love to contemplate nature... actually I love to contemplate any thing. I am ALWAYS laughing. It looks better than frowning and it works your stomach muscles :)
over the last few years i've become a sworn believer in the power of positive thinking. and no it did not spawn from the secret ;) i could ramble on about my experiences for hours, so i guess if you really want to know about it, you should ask.
I work as little as possible in as many jobs as possible. Currently I have 4. i tried the whole working in an office thing, but quit after a month. the small act of me having to look out the window into the beautiful day pissed me off beyond belief so i had to get out of there. i now earn close to nothing, and i never know if i'm going to make rent, but i do what i love. and to me, that's what is most important

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

mostly i provide a couch... when i go away, i mostly live in a tent away from the hustle and bustle of the crowds.

Interests

smells, sights, tastes, sounds of the world, of people. absorbing as much as i can in a single glance.
i love to watch people having fun. i love to take photo's, draw, paint, dance, sing - but only in the shower. i love to read when there's absolute silence, and to get so caught up in the book that i can almost believe I'm with the characters.

Music, Movies, and Books

any thing that makes you think about it for days after! and of course... romance. I'm a hopeless romantic - but don't tell any one :P
music is the complete opposite. I'm some what a metal head. the louder and scarier, the better. of course I'll tone it down when you visit :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Skydiving has got to be the most incredible thing I've ever done. there are no words to describe the feeling of free fall. I've never felt so free, and strangely so powerful in my life.

bungee jumping off the bloukrans bridge in south africa .i screamed blue murder the whole way down, and i'm not entirely sure if i would do it again, but the ground rush was one of the most fantastically scary feelings ever.

absailing down cliff faces with my skis strapped to my back, then rocketing down the northface in waist deep powder. poof poof poof.

cliff jumping off 25m monsters into the 10'c water below gave me complete new perspective on fear and cold. i actually broke my toe on the run up.

i've done lots of extreme stupid things i guess... but still one of my favourite is sitting on top of the mountain in a screaming snowstorm with a good friend, opening the thermas, and the soup is still warm.

Teach, Learn, Share

what can i teach? well, how NOT to make lemon-meringue pie. that's for sure.
